Goo Goo Dolls join Def Leppard and The Struts for a Concerts event in the Pop / rock category at Madison Square Garden in New York on June 23, 2027. The lineup brings together three rock acts for an arena performance in the heart of Midtown Manhattan.
Formed in Buffalo in 1986, the Goo Goo Dolls grew from punk and alternative roots into a celebrated pop-rock band led by vocalist and guitarist John Rzeznik and bassist and vocalist Robby Takac. Their breakthrough album, Dizzy Up the Girl (1998), featured enduring hits including “Iris,” “Slide,” and “Black Balloon.” “Iris,” also featured in the film City of Angels, became one of the band's signature songs and a defining singalong for generations of fans.
The band's catalog spans more than a dozen studio albums, from A Boy Named Goo and Gutterflower to Chaos in Bloom (2022), which includes “Miracle Pill,” “Just a Man,” and “New Day Coming.” Their live shows draw on that history, pairing melodic rock energy with emotionally direct songwriting. “Iris” is a particular highlight for audiences, while other familiar tracks may include “Name,” “Slide,” and “Here Is Gone.”
For this date, the supplied lineup names Def Leppard and The Struts alongside the Goo Goo Dolls. The band's 2025/2026 touring information does not confirm the tour title or set list for this 2027 show, so performance details may vary.
Madison Square Garden has a multi-level, circular-bowl layout with Floor, 100 Level, 200 Level, and 300 Level seating. For a concert, the lower bowl's side sections near center stage are a strong choice, combining a close perspective with a clear view of the full production. Select central 200 Level seats can also offer an elevated, unobstructed view.
Floor seats place fans closest to the stage, though sightlines can depend on the stage configuration and standing crowds. The 300 Level is the most budget-friendly area and provides a broad view from higher up. Seats directly behind the stage or in extreme upper corners may have less desirable views, depending on the concert setup. The arena sits above Penn Station, making rail and subway connections particularly convenient for visitors navigating Midtown.
On-site parking is very limited around the Garden, and nearby garages can fill quickly on major event nights. Midtown traffic and demand may affect both availability and pricing, so planning ahead is advisable.
Prices currently start around $120 for this major arena concert, with seats and availability affecting the final cost. For event updates and ticket information, visit ticketsinbrooklyn.com.
